NHAFC August 6, 2026 Seminar, Dinner, and Business Meeting
Shelburne Fire Chief Randy Davis and Gorham Fire Chief Phil Cloutier will co-host the August 6, 2026 seminar, meeting, annd dinner of the NHAFC. The Meeting will be held at the Town and Country Inn and Resort, 20 US Route 2, Gorham, NH 03581.
In response to a survey by the Professional Development Committee, the event will feature a seminar entitled “Affecting Change in your Department when Culture Gets in the Way," presented by Deputy Chief Steven Shaffer of the Boston Fire Department, beginning at 1530 hours. Chief Shaffer commanded the tragic Beacon St. fire and weaves the thoughts on this fire into the fabric of his presentation. He states, “Every department has a culture. Perhaps none more ingrained than the Boston Fire Department. It doesn’t matter your department’s pay status. Career, volunteer or combination, culture will impact how you manage change.”.
- The evening will begin with networking with our North Country colleagues at 17:30 hrs. with dinner at 18:00 hrs and the business meeting immediately after.
- The Dinner menu will include one of two choices: Boneless Breast of Chicken or 12 oz. Center Cut NY Sirloin Dinner cost is $41.00
- As before, the Inn has offered us reduced rates for those who want to stay over for $139. Call the Inn to reserve and tell them you are with the NHAFC for the meeting. 603-331-4442
